Yeah, those who purchased the assault rifles are to be feared? I'm scared that people like you are so clueless. Remember to call the cops after a crime occurs. someonething like an ounce of prevention...... how much does a bullet weigh? an ounce?

So why do you think assault rifles are automatically included?

You think the DC law is what the founders were talking about?

The 2nd Amendment mentions arms. There are no qualifiers.

Really? No qualifiers? Can you own RPGs? SAMs? Bazookas? Flame throwers? Nukes? Give up.

You've lost.

IPU, Cali thinks that citizens don't have the right to own standard militia arms. Despite the words "militia" and "arms" being used. In fact, I doubt he thinks there is a single kind of arm that American's have a right to. In his world, banning every gun except a bolt action single-shot .22 would be constitutional. Hell, even a pop-gun.

Neither of you answered the question, unsurprisingly.

By the way, Waters, the First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech or of the press...."

It uses the words "speech" and "press." Does that mean we have an absolute right to use whatever speech we want and to print whatever we want in the press? No restrictions?

Do you want me to address how I formulate the issue for the umpteenth time, again? I never said tanks, I never said nuclear weapons. I said standard gear of a militia grunt.

Good. So we agree. There must be restrictions and the term "arms" is not absolute.

You do know that grenade launchers are standard issue military weapons, right? Do you favor a right to own those?
