Amazing Grace
I rented this DVD last weekend and really enjoyed it. It's the story of William Wilberforce, a leader of the movement to abolish the slave trade in England. The movie is oddly edited, but it's still worth watching.

It could have been a much better movie, IMO. But it's an inspiring story and worth watching. The story behind the hymn Amazing Grace is also quite moving. Makes me wish it was in our hymn book.

I've got it at home, just looking for some time to watch it. Some of our friends watched it and hated it...but it wasn't their type of movie to say the least.

No no, nothing like that. Just kind of laid back fun loving folks that don't like serious movies or better yet, period pieces.

Thanks for the tip YOhio. We rented it this weekend and everyone loved it. It is remarkable to ponder what a small group of people were able to accomplish against such great odds. Very inspiring.

What is it rated? I hope it isn't rated "R".
