Default Have you ever written or called the brethren?

Have you ever written or called the brethren about a doctrinal issue or to get them to resolve a conflict in your ward/branch?

Define "the brethren".

A letter was read in sacrament asking members to cease doing it.

Why would I write so that a secretary could respond to my inquiry?

as long as the brethren respond to letters in General Conference, I see no reason to not send them correspondence.

The closest I have gotten was contact the IT team on the church website telling them how terrible it was (this was about 4 years ago when you couldn't access the website on Sundays because it was too taxed). Instead of going to SLC, my message was routed to my stake web specialist, who of course knew nothing and could do nothing, and didn't really care, I don't think.

That was a good lesson. When things are terrible, they don't want to know.

Maybe they are CG members. Sort of a "Physician, heal thyself" thing.

The letter was odd. It asked members not to write but then said that "in most cases" writing would nto be effective. SO in some cases it would be? I could imagine all these poeple having a Llyod Christmas moment when they heard that qualifier.

You just have to have the right return address on the envelope. If it is from Joe Member in Idaho Falls, St. George, Sacramento, or Dallas...then forget about it. However, if you send it with $5.00 worth of 3 cent stamps from some remote European or South American location...you can be sure that it'll be read.

We should test this out and have our friend here that is visiting Dubai send a letter.
