Default O'Neill Chambers is officially a bust

Good points:
1. Glad we could get a non-LDS black kid from a southern state.
2. Glad that he is still in the program.

Bad points:
1. He is not nearly the athlete and playmaker we expected. He is your normal BYU receiver, except he is a little bit taller.

So that defines a bust?

He is better than what we have but not as good as what Florida has. Does that define him as a bust?

I'm not saying he's our next NFL receiver, but I wouldn't claim him to be a bust either.

He is a bust because he is not better than what we have. McKay is better. Austin Collie was way better. Todd Watkins was way better. Michael Reed was better.

We had hoped he would be in the same league as the receivers above. Best case scenario now is that he develops into a Michael Reed.

He is a decent kickoff returner, he has good size and sometimes makes some great catches but lacks burner speed to get open..

Austin Collie was superior. McKay, faster, but he drops passes about as much. Reed ended up being better than Chambers is now, but at this point in his career he is superior to Reed. So I'd put him below Watkins and hard to say in relation to McKay.

On which account?

What metric do you use to measure Reed being better as a sophomore against Chambers? YAC, cpg, ypc?

What makes you think he's so inferior to McKay who doesn't seem to stay healthy?

You're drinking too much Texas Koolaid, my friend.

You have to be open to get the ball. And once you do get it, not fumble.

Btw, glad to have you on board Mr. And Mrs. Chambers. Your boy is a FYM.
