Default Plastic surgery recession

This is a travesty. I'm afraid due to this economic downturn, we will have an entire generation of women with natural breasts.

What has the world come to when, if I'm not mistaken, there is actually a sub-genre of porn that is "women with normal-sized natural breasts". I guess it is considered a highly specialized fetish.

I believe it is more akin to body-building contexts which are drug free versus anything goes. We'll see enhancement free,i.e., "natural" porn as well as "normal" porn.

hmm. natural versus normal porn. okay then. the real test here will be the market, I suppose. If plastic surgery is down because of the recession, maybe that would drive up the market for fake breasts on film. If so, that could, in turn, create more demand for fake breasts. It's a delicate balance, I suppose.

Back to the main topic: I'm sure the industry will recover well. It's not just breasts. All kinds of people are altering all kinds of parts. I'd rather see a backlash based on sainity instead of lack of funds.

It's like the movie Dumbo. Some women need to hold a feather to feel like they can fly. Enlarged breasts, and suddenly they feel sexy. What husband doesn't want his wife to feel sexy?

I have a friend who tells me he recently told his wife, that if they get x, y, and z together with their finances, he will support her getting breast implants. And that she was thrilled.

I don't have some deep moral or philosophical opposition to elective plastic surgery. I think I understand the argument you state here that I hear so often: I just feel better when I look better. What I doubt about this premise, however, is how much one's psyche is truly affected. You still are who you are regardless of whether your breasts are large or small or you have a bump in your nose or a sagging neck.

I'm sure there is some truth to it. I wish people well who make these choices. I also wish we, as a society, would turn the focus a little. We decide what looks good based on a variety of factors. We also decide what is valuable, and I think there are so many thing to value ahead of breast size.

This wife you mention above--good for her. But I have to wonder how much better she would be served by focusing on another goal. Sincerely.

good insights. I do agree with the silly axiom, "look good, feel good and do good."
