I'm surprised the cultural elites would even bother mentioning BYU, despite the face it is basically the cheapest university in the country.

Seeing this list reminds me of the fact that before I have college-aged children, I need to move to Virginia. I think that state has better public education than most. I don't really want to live in Virginia is the only problem there.

And I went to BYU primarly because it was so cheap. Looking back on that now, I am ambivalent about it. I don't know whether or not I regret that being my top criteria.

And the list mentions non-LDS pay more $, but it doesn't mention that they pay with their souls as well.

Please. They get to compete in some of the highest-level athletics available anywhere in the country.

I think if you want to limit it to athletic opportunities, you'd better look to another list. I didn't see any discussion of that on there.
