I think I will start giving when the church stops using tithing money to support BYU.

Because as it is, I am alrealy giving quite a bit to BYU.

I want you to remember how fortunate you were to have attended a fine institution like BYU. You are lucky we let you come here so cheap. Now we want you to give back the difference. I want you to think grateful. I want you to breathe grateful. I want you to dream grateful. And when you are done thinking, breathing, & dreaming grateful then I want you to be grateful some more. And then give to BYU. Give lots. Because you are so thankful. Give said the little stream dammit

Mike, you posted that on cougarboard once a while back. I happened to remember your post as I answered the phone and had a happy, energetic BYU co-ed on the line asking me to donate money. I used your line and she laughed out loud. She said she'd heard a lot of excuses but that the tithing excuse was her new favorite.
