The title to the article is misleading. It looks to me like he is simply reinforcing his "no comment" stance. He doesn't really say which way he will vote nor does he correct his wife's statement about "our family" being against prop 8.

In any case, I am guessing Brother Young got a few phone calls from SLC. This was probably some sort of compromise.

What a mess.
Why is it so hard for some to fathom that Esteban Joven might actually not support Prop 8?

No kidding. I just read through the latest threads on CB. Amazing how people are grasping at straws to conclude that Steve has a crazy, apostate wife and he is simply being a patient husband and is firmly in favor of prop 8. Must make them feel better to think that way.

This is like the perfect storm for the CB crowd.

I thought he wanted to get into politics? I've often heard he was going run for office. But he seems very squeamish. I'm sure he'll be happy when this week is over.

I've heard throughout the years that Steve will never go into politics because he's a bit more liberal than his natural supporters would expect.

I think the implication was that he would be too liberal to run in Utah.

You're right, I can see how conservative Park City is.

If Young established residency in Utah's 3rd Congressional District, he would have a cakewalk to DC if he chose to run for office.
