Default New meetinghouse locater

http://beta.maps.lds.org/

This application provides many new features not currently available in the existing application, including:
A dynamic user interface (no more drop-down lists!)
The ability to identify closest meetinghouses and congregations worldwide (International model)
The ability to enter address information or simply point at a location on a map to get information
The ability to switch between map providers Google and Microsoft to get the best map for a location
The ability to switch between map and aerial/satellite views
The ability to see ALL congregations at a location, not just the residential unit (e.g., Spanish, Tongan, YSA, etc.)
The ability to select a ward/branch and get additional information, go to the web site, or get driving directions
The ability to provide a robust feedback that can identify a variety of issues that can be tracked in Remedy
The ability to send a link to a friend of a location

Looks like the church has decided to go the microsoft virtual earth direction instead of google or yahoo.

Way better than before.

That's really cool, but what would be even better is if they also showed the unit boundaries.

Also, if they could map out the annoying ward members and the cool ones.

I checked it out and their locations are way off on the aerial. Another example of The Church pedaling false information.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
