You are saying the pick could be a top 5 , after the 08-09 season? Or are you saying it would be after the 09-10 season?

After the 09-10 season (it is protected through 22 for 09). Unrestricted in the 2010 draft.

Actually, Layden did no favors for the Knicks...but he looks like a genius compared to the disaster contracts that Isiah brought in to that team. He has screwed that team up for years to come.
