Default Today is a good day to own a slingbox

I just thought I would mention that.

Of course if we lose, today will have been a terrible day to have a slingbox.

my big plan is for the slingbox and then get a nice big hdtv lcd (whatever) tv that can be easily hooked to a computer.

just like watching the games at home

The tourney is also available online for those interested in popping about $25 for the whole thing. Of course at that rate, it wouldn't take long to pay for a slingbox.

huh? The TV does whatever I tell it to do!

The slingbox sends an internet feed. I can watch that feed on my laptop or my desktop. I can patch that feed into my TV from my laptop (my TV accepts VGA cable). Alternatively my desktop's graphic card has a s-video output as well (but not moving that anymore).

So when I watch on TV, I have to select "VGA" as my input. I can't watch two inputs at once.

I mean the place where the feed is coming from.

For example,

If I have a slingbox at my brothers house in slc. Can I watch slingbox while he is watching tv (different channels)?

In my case, my brother has regular cable. And we just use a splitter. One end goes to his AV equip, the other end goes to my slingbox.

So we can watch different channels.
