I was embarrassed, but people pointed out that other people had actually trained for this race. It was in Devil's Punchbowl, aptly named.

I soloed for longer than I care to remember. Once the pro girls came by, I sunk my head in shame. I stayed with them, then I thought that was cheating and let them go. It was truly a low event of my racing career. Coupling that with flulike symptoms and it was a tough ride for me.

good luck with that one Piney.

I just finished a 48 mile ride this morning in which the first 30 miles had 4600 feet of climbing. There was one section of road that was 1 mile bottom to top with 650 feet elevation gain. My buddy was having some chain link issues and was working by the side of the road, so i got to do it 3 times while waiting for him.

Even still, it was nothing compared to onion valley road.
