To be honest, I hate the mountain rides. I only do it because I am not very good at it and I want to get better. I prefer a flatter, longer ride where I can just fly.
I'm not a climber, and flat rollers suit me just fine, but I need the work on my weaknesses.

Viking, I've done the newspaper routine.

I was in Tucson for Tour de Tucson and thought to myself, it's Tucson, it's always warm in Arizona. Well, not in November. It was 38 degrees (at least it felt that way), and I was dying. So I stuffed a bunch of newspapers in my shirt and felt like Greg Lemond.

Yeah, let's plan on riding up sometime. My schedule is pretty flexible for next week. You tell me which day is best for you... I'll probably be able to make it around 12:00-12:30 anyday. I'll try not to slow you down too much, although you probably already know that you will be going slower than normal..
Let's do it. You pick the day. I usually leave my office to ride at 12:30. Tell me which day you would like. Not Monday of course.

I'll see what my schedule looks like when I get back to work tomorrow... hopefully nobody set me appointments. Do we just meet in the parking lot at the mouth of Big Cottonwood? My wife drives the SUV and the bike rack I bought goes to the trailer hitch, so I'll have to put the bike in the trunk of my Accord. Don't make fun of me!
