I got mine from the Oklahoma Mesonet. Archie's from a similar network. I'll check for SLC later. Gotta go rescue the little ones from the purgatory known as elementary school.

Man, if you live in the SL Valley, Herriman has to be right there at the top. Herriman, Daybreak, Lehi...all very windy, all the time.

You are right on!

Live in Lehi, ride past Herriman on my way to Magna on top of the plateau...riding against the gale force winds every time!

Right now...for Salt Lake it says "gusty" winds 17mph. However, I just got in from a lunchtime ride...and I KNOW it's blowing harder than that.

For those that ride...if you board mail me the city you live in...I'll keep stats for a about a month...and I'll let you know who rides in "The Windiest City".
Rexburg is pretty windy. I think Vegas may win this but thats a nice warm wind.

Just thought I would mention that I went out for 35 miles this morning and rode the last 15 miles or so with wither a stiff crosswind or a brutal 25-30 mph headwind.

I actually prefered the head wind today, as there was no way to get away from the crosswind. The escalon would have been riding shoulder to shoulder to protect the other riders, and on a well-traveled road like the one we were on, it just wasn't possible.

Planning on riding home from work so I have bene checking on the wind today.

I live 15 miles south of work and at lunch the wind was 5 mph from the north. Sounded good to me. But then I jsut check and now it is
Wind: From SSE at 16 mph
gusting to 28 mph

That makes for a long ride home.
