Most of the Bianchi models at the store included teal to some degree. I thought it was just an Italian thing.

Just in case, I will be sure to wear some sort of manly gear when I ride.

She doesn't want to buy one until she is convinced that I am serious about it.

I think that is the dickhead price.

No, I don't think you're a dickhead and I don't know why Fus has his opinion, but I did agree that he was very gracious in willing to stoop down to your dickheaded level and help a dickhead out.

Oops. Wrong link. It was actually this one:

http://www.bianchiusa.com/07_c2c_nirone_105_tr.html

(very similar, but a little cheaper).

Glad I could be of help.

And just because junkie isn't secure enough in his masculinity does not mean that the color is wrong.

Thats a very nice bike for $1k Lebowski. Good components. Good wheelset. You'll be able to get a lot of good miles out of that bike.

How does the saddle feel? I've never ridden on that brand of seat.

Did you get some clipless bike shoes as well? The LOOK brand pedals are an excellent choice. My experience is that for durability and ease of use, they can't be beat.

Thats kind of an unusual configuration for the crankset. Most triples typically have a 53 tooth large cog. This one has a 50. I'd be curious to hear why they did that. Good choice going with the triple, btw. With all the climbing in your area, you'll be glad that you did.

Enjoy.

Well, you have to remember that I am a novice so I don't have much of a basis of comparison. But I would say that the seat feels like the end of a broom handle with a paper towel on it for cushion.

It felt fine this morning on my ride. I rode quite a few bikes in the last week and this one just seemed to feel good for me. Shifting, brakes, handlebar, etc.

It came with clip pedals. The next model up had the clipless pedals. Unlike some models, the pedals were pre-installed.

No idea. But again, it seemed fine to me. I rode up to Vivian Park this morning. (and froze me arse off!).

What's odd is that I had one person at a different store tell me that a triple is the way to go for climbing. Then another person at another store said that a double is the way to go for climbing. I asked why but she couldn't tell me. The engineer in me figured the triple would be the safe route.

Teal is fine in cycling. Remember, one of the most popular teams out there was T-Mobile and their hot pink. Once you don spandex, the color of your bike (any color) pales in comparison on the gay scale. Nice bike Leb.
