Default So if Utah votes for Obama...

The reason will be because.... (you can choose more than one option). Unlike what the demogogues on this board would have you believe, there usually are more than one reason why things happen.

You left a couple off your list:

"Hell has frozen over"

You don't give yourself enough credit. I selected the Cali Coug option.

Yeah, but you live in Ohio. If you were YUtah, I would be on my way.

Dang, I couldn't vote because the reason wasn't up there.

If McCain picks Huck, I really think Utah could be in play.

I have talked to my friends. All republican of course. They are very active, active, inactive and non-members.

Surprisingly they all feel the same way I do about Huck. He is too religious. Of course that effects the spectrum differently. My very active friends dislike his religious stuff for a different reason than my non-member friends dislike his religious stuff. I feel I am more in the camp with my non-member friends in disliking his religious stuff. Religious extremists even in our own church scare me.

McCain's campaign flat out stated Huckabee will not be their VP yesterday.

Then my guess is Utah will not vote for Obama. The reason they won't is because Utah is a conservative state and Obama isn't even close to being conservative.

Interestingly, in my conversations with these friends the color of his skin has never come up, except in noting that may be why he has such a large percentage of the AA community voting for him. .

My older brother is an ex'd member with no plans of returning to activity and he hates Huck for his religion bating. Chatting with him the other day he mentioned that he'd never vote for "that anti-Mormon cocksucker." His words, not mine. Even among the disaffected, the tribal instinct is strong.
