lol, i know using the radio as an example is not unique, but my take on it is a little unique. standard teaching is that the "tuning in" is the worthiness part of it. i say tuning in is simply that--tuning in. or maybe it's been too long since i heard that at church lol.

define sinful, unholy, worthy and unworthy. Does it require perfection to receive inspiration? How about someone who isn't paying his tithing but is otherwise a pretty good guy?

Goatnapper's translation of the above:

He is an asshole.

The problem with the position that Tex is taking is that all are sinful, every one. So saying that God can't dwell in unholy temples just begs the question of what is unholy. Obviously some sin is okay or none could feel the spirit. The question is, how much? I think we could probably think of some obvious things that drive the spirit away, but I'm not at all convinced that sin precludes spiritual experiences one bit.

Saul on the road to Tarsus and Alma the younger are both good examples. I don't think that we can count on the "constant" companionship of the spirit when we know we are scoffing at God's laws. But I think that even the most sinful have some access to the spirit and I have seen God work in enough unusual ways that I don't constrain Him.

Plagiarism. I can tell you've been reading Levin's purple prose.
