On Supreme Court nominees
I would like a variety of nominees, staying away for a moment from their interpretative constructions.
Right now, all that are appointed are law professors or judges. Many people have formal legal training, and the decisions reached by the Supreme Court affects persons from all walks of life. Corporate counsel, business counsel, perhaps a divorce lawyer and other varieties should also be considerable. Let's drop the charade we're trying to get the best, as we're not: we're trying to get somebody confirmable. This credentials canard must be exposed.
