Fair enough, but I disagree about the bowls being the problem. Again, before the BCS, any team could have a chance to win a national title no matter which bowl they played in. I don't see how that is a problem.

My preference in the category of "the most fair way to determine a champion" would be:

1. playoff
2. bowl games the way they used to be

I don't include the BCS because it doesn't give all teams an equal chance to win it all.

BYU could knock off the Utes and finish 11-1 and get shut out of the BCS because the conference champion from both the ACC and the Big East are guaranteed 2 spots.

That doesn't sseem better than the bowl games before the BCS.

I liked the bowls better, too, Il Pad. I liked the tradition if nothing else.
