1994 wasn't about guns; it was about sleezy Clinton.

The constituency for DC elected officials is the DC citizenry.

Dems who need to will say they agreed with the SC ruling; they won't touch the DC law "letting it play out in the courts."

You're a political novice.

If the dems want the pro-gun base FIRED UP, they are doing an excellent job.

The pro-gun base of 5%. 95% right now are satiated and happy about the SC's ruling. They think the courts are their friends right now. Hell, the pro-gun base doesn't even know that Congress can overturn DC local law.

Again, political novice.

You're a political novice b/c you don't realize that the Senate and House aren't going to do a thing about the DC gun law.

I know lots about the gun lobby, and they're going to fight their fights in court on this one. They know that's where they'll win. They're politically smarter than you.

Did I say they would?

I know one thing that's going to happen: money will flow to the NRA and GOA.

All the dems have to do (as many have) is say they agreed with the Supreme Court's decision. Obama did.

Seriously.

you probably don't think gun owners are fired up about Obama's position on gun control (which is that he loves all of it, and that he's parsing and lying).

Look at his voting record. Obama has NEVER had ONE vote that was pro-gun.

How do you think Obama will respond when asked about this DC move? (this is where I determine how smart you are).
