I didn't have the pleasure of seeing BYU play UCLA, though I would imagine the suspense of who would end Elder Olsen's career might have been rather intriguing.

Well, at the time UCLA was ranked. And the game was close. We had a drive at the end that would have put us ahead but we fumbled inside the UCLA 20.

A&M is the little brother, just like UofU.
OK, maybe Mike and I are the only ones that care about this, but I pinged a couple of my buddies from Austin last night and asked them "Which is the bigger rival for Texas, OU or aTm?" Here are the responses:

OU because we keep losing to them! aTm hasn't been much of a threat in recent years.

You ask a very difficult question - we hate them both so much!! I would have to give the edge though to atm. Unlike the Red River rivalry, the rivalry with atm is intrastate - they are always around whereas OU (which does suck) leaves the state after their game with us.

I assume you meant aggsie or okie....in which case it's not even close:
the immoral, subhuman, degenerate &^%#$%#(%ing okies are much more
hated. In fact, lately tech has been laying quite a claim to public
enemy #2.

another one from a UT friend:

Do you mean who is the bigger rival between A&M and OU? I'm assuming that's what you mean. If that's the case then I gotta go with OU. A&M's a close second but OU takes the cake.
Lebowski doesnt' know what he's talking about!!!

Ha.

Well, it has been a while since I lived there. And aTm sucks so badly lately that maybe the luster is off the rivalry a bit.

If you walk into the stores on Guadalupe Street in Austin, they have lots of Aggie Joke books, Aggie toilet paper, etc. I don't recall any such stuff directed at OU.
