I seriously doubt he only had his eyes set on a city council seat.

What is wrong with you? Seriously?
Coming from a guy who thought protesting at the Oakland temple was "fair turnabout", I'm not really sure you're the best one to ask that question.

Could he have a successful run at the Senate from Utah?

He would have a better chance in a Senate race if he ran as a Dem, but I don't think he could beat either Hatch or Bennett.

I had always heard he was going to wait until one of the two of them retired, before he had a go at it.

He might have a better than decent shot then. I wold hope that he'd get voted in based on politics rather than celebrity status, but I guess we can never underestimate the public's attraction to shiny objects.

I just wonder if he would be willing to give up his ESPN gig in order to go into politics.

This is like the perfect storm for the CB crowd.
I haven't read the thread over there, nor do I intend to. I will bet though I could name the posters who jumped his case.

They are the same ones who think President Wilkinson recieved the honor code after climbing Mt Timpanogas and receiving them written on granite by the finger of God.

That's funny! After years of railing against the honor code, I'm impressed that you can still come up with gems like this. Well done 71.
