One thing we can agree on, the foreign policy debates should be interesting.
He isn't doing himself any favors by tearing away support for Webb's GI bill at the moment either in order to get support for his almost identical bill designed to give him credit. Playing political games with the troops. I thought that was what Republicans accused the Dems of doing. Next thing you know, he will change his mind on torture. Oops- already did.

The straight talk express is stalled on Bull Crap Lane.

You're not going to get me to defend the "straight talk express." There's lots I don't like about McCain, but you're wrong about foreign policy being a weakness, especially as it concerns Wonder Boy Obama.

No one is paying any attention to McCain right now. No one will until the Democrats have their nominee. The longer this takes, the better chance McCain has of being "new interesting guy" in juxtaposition to either Dem. candidate that people have just reached a saturation point with. This is why Howard Dean has been publicly pulling his hair out.

McCain isn't ever going to be "new interesting guy." He may be ignored long enough to be the "other guy who isn't one of the 2 Dems," but despite the media's best wishes that such would be the case, it just won't happen like that. The Dems will have this all figured out shortly and Obama v McCain will be the new story. The media will tire of Obama v Hillary at some point and begin turning the screws for her to get out (much like the superdelegates will).

It sounds like you think Mrs. Clinton will actually step away. She won't. She believes herself entitled to the White House and will heed Jimmy V's advice about quitting.

Perhaps, but she would first have to be convinced that she could actually win by fighting it out. At some point, the superdelegates will inform her that isn't even a remote possibility and she will get out and focus on being Senate Majority Leader or NY Governor. I maintain most of what is going on with the Dem primary is media generated hype at this point.

Whatever it is, it's fun to watch.

He doesn't have much to sell. The country already agrees.
What do the people think will happen in Iraq if we pull out too soon? Would they allow Obama to go back in (as he has suggested) if the terrorists begin to congregate there?

I can't believe how stupid some people are.
