That just might be good enough to keep LES full and the firesides full. It will be interesting to see after a while of that if the fans will start demanding we play better teams or just enjoy being a top dog in the non-BCS realm.

My guess is that is good enough for the powers that be. I have a hunch they really don't want to get in there and mix it up with the big boys. Life is much more comfortable dominating the MWC.

Trying to be the best makes you take some risks. I don't think the atmosphere is one that allows taking some risks.

I hope I am wrong and I could be. There might be those that recognize the money and prestige the school could receive by taking the steps to get in there with the big boys.
I truly believe that, given the chance, BYU certainly would jump to a BCS conference.

What affect that would have on the program is a far larger discussion.

If it was sarcasm, I missed it. Nice editing btw. (I do it too at times)

Sarcasm is tough to notice when reading. I've learned that because of the many times my sarcastic posts miss the mark.

Indy doesn't have a history of sarcasm that is notable, so I'm willing to cut myself a bit of slack there.

I can understand that.

I find it interesting, however, that I have a very different idea on the 'history of sarcasm' displayed by Indy. After several years of lurking (mostly at Cougarboard), I feel he's quite frequent in his use of it.

Its called Salesmanship Indy. I could sell a ketchup popsicle to a lady in white gloves. I could sell ice to eskimos, etc... Surely one could expect Bronco or somebody on his staff to sell BYU to Mormons.

Perhaps so. I left CB about three years ago and don't remember much about Indy being sarcastic there. Over here, he's not even a noticeable smart ass. I consider myself a competent smart ass, but here, I'm just the average run-of-the-mill smart ass.

Again, he's doing such a good job selling BYU, that most of the recruiting class is already set before the fall begins.

And this, I completely understand. My friends all know me as the 'sarcastic one', and yet on this board, it comes through pretty bland...
