If OSU drops a game, USC wins the Pac-10 and they go to the "championship" game, there may not be an eligible Pac-10 team to take their place. Same if Penn State wins out, and the Big 10 doesn't have another eligible team. (Hey, Ohio State *could* lose to Michigan).
The Rose Bowl becomes at-large vs. at-large. |

And there not choosing a MWC team, I dont care what the scenario is. It is an unwritten rule with the BCS. If the rose bowl doesn't get who they want, they will pull the pin on a grenade and fall on it. Seriously, the rose bowl would remove itself from the BCS before it took a Non-BCS team.
