I think you are correct, which is why if it were to be tried, it owuld need ot be handled carefully and also why ithink it should be allowed, expressly, by the handbook but left up to the indiviudual units to implemetn. As it is tried and used successfully, any stigma would be reduced and eventtually these approaches might be accepted and even encouraged.

Nice thought, but won't happen.

You would see rules and regulations and guidelines pour forth until you reached the point that it was gospel essentials, read directly from the manual.

Lowest common denominator. Regulate in order to prevent the embarrassing cases.

Why do you think this site and CB and many others exist? Because they fill a void that is not filled by the church, and probably will NEVER be filled by the church.

I don't recall anyone misunderstanding me more on any board than you have done here. I actually hold the teacher in the highest regard, and believed then (and now) that Elder Brockbank handled the situation poorly. The SS teacher was/is a great and faithful member of the church.

Your third conclusion confirms my suspicions about the impropriety of my posting on the religion subject. I apologize for writing so poorly that a person of your intellect (which I have admired since sponsoring you as a CB member long ago--perhaps you're holding that against me?) would misread me so drastically. I'll take my son-in-law's and son's advice and avoid this board subsection in the future.

Honestly, I'm sorry I set you off. That was certainly not my intent.

Mike, I vote that SEIQ gets a month in the woodshed for driving off PAC.

PAC, stick around buddy. I thought your post was crystal clear. Don't worry about it.

amen. SIEQ sounds like my wife during that time of the month. Good job you came off looking like the jerk during that exchange.

There are a lot of touchy posters on these online boards, a fact that never ceases to amaze me.

That you seemed highly critical of the SS teacher could be reasonably deduced from your post. That you now claim to hold the teacher in the "highest regard" looks a whole lot like you just trying to make yourself look good after a goof. There was exactly zero of this "high regard" evidenced in your post.

Bringing up your sponsorship of me on CB is yet another attempt to align yourself with the angels.

I hold nothing against you, but anyone who steps back for a moment can see that you are really spinning a yarn on this.

You're the only one that came away with that interpretation. Time for some self-reflection.

Goodbye, CG.

We could turn Sunday School over to CES. Hire some seminary teachers to do the job in each ward.
