Bateman is a symbol. Read the thread. Any lover of BYU and of dialogue, critical thinking, empiricism, the heart and soul of a university as originally conceived by the Athenians, was troubled by Bateman's tenure as BYU president. Yeah, that could be true I guess. Can't say as that I really know. It really doesn't have anything to do with why I love him. Regardless of the whatever criticism people feel like they need to make, I think his intentions were always for the best.
