Agreed. If a style is so crass, as Tex's often is, one attacks the style and ignores the content.

Now I know how to be crass and how to be nice, but sometimes it's fun to mix it up. It would be enjoyable to see if Tex knows how to change the pace.

What I enjoy about this place is that some posters will present new ways of examining old issues, SIEQ, Pelagius, CHC and Solon to name a few. Yourself as well. Lebowski.

Tex may be well-versed in his school of thought, but we usually know what it is, or at least we think we know. Perhaps there is a more nuanced Tex out there waiting to be born.

You are the most condescending poster I've ever known.

Just thought you should know.

And we thought you'd changed your tune, but I won and Creekster lost the bet.

Creek, you owe me. Now I'm really calling your SP.

Not so fast. Lingo only agreed to avoid complaints about hypocrisy, although I had hoped it owuld carry over. For the record, there was no bet.

I'm construing this under Nevada law and there was an enforceable wager, meaning you must show up for ULCER.

I'm not sure there's a whole lot of secrets out there about what anyone on this board thinks.

But if you're interested in "changing the pace", you could start by retracting your "crass" statement below, particularly since it appeared in a thread where I was making a concerted effort not to exude such.

It's reality, bro. Own up to it.

If you become less hateful, I'll retract it. The jury's out. I'm willing to change an opinion which is more of an impression than a full-blown opinion. It was a snapshot in time and conversion to a gentle Tex will show that snapshot to be unwarranted. Who knows some day, will see Tex campaigning for the Green Party, drinking a diet Coke and singing let's get along or something along those lines.

Heh, right. Why don't you ask me when I stopped beating my wife, too.

I didn't know you had. Congratulations. That's a step in the right direction. Now, listen to some Joan Baez, smoke a joint and it will be all better.
