Angry at the lifelong whitewashing of the truth. Last Sunday's FT meeting was eye opening. Six testified of JS, only one of Christ. Moral problem resides at 50 E So Temple.
Last Sunday's FT meeting was more like JS: zero, Christ: zero, Our country's the best of all: 20. Yuck.

This says nothing about the veracity of the Church.

Condolences to you. Did some make U.S. is the promised land exclusively for the restoration connection? Thinly disguised argument for manifest destiny.

Well, the Lord didn't choose France, did he?

You know the answer. Referring to the substance.

Italy would have been a good place - I'm guessing that it was the Almighty's 2nd choice - but the folks there are too interested in ignoring the law of chastity.

Ours sucked too. One guy spent his time telling us how grateful he is that his wife is humble enough to work at Wal*Mart.

There was a good one, though. My neighbor works for the Church reviewing curriculum, a verrry smart guy. I typically skip Sunday School unless he is teaching, because he gets out of the manual. I actually learn in his class. He's always telling us stories about his interactions with the GA's, but not in a name-dropping sort of way.

Anyway, he had a heart attack 6 weeks ago, and drove himself to the ER. He got up and bore his testimony, which he's never done in the 8 years I've lived here. He reflected on what his thoughts were as he was driving to the hospital, and if he was to die that day, how excited he was to see the Savior, but how deeply he would miss his family. It was a Christ-centered testimony and it was powerful. Best I've heard in a long time.
