Period.

I do respect the man, though, for basically admitting to GN that he out and out lied.

It was 10 years ago. Maybe he has grown as a human being. Somehow I doubt it.

While two of you are "flabbergasted" I take that as code for "appalled." Yes, I am appalled as well.
Are you really a shithead, or do you just play one on TV?

What will it take for you to condemn something from a figurehead in the church?

What kind of evil does it take?

Even in the case of mass murder in a mall, you would privately wonder if God had commanded it.

I'm fighting a battle here against men like Millet. I don't recall that I've ever met him. I'm sure he treats dogs and children well. But in this particular area, I will battle him. And he is not going to win.

The mullahs are in retreat. Simple as that.

Patton was an asshole. So what?

I am disappointed, but what can you expect from an apologist?

He was looking for a good reason for it to exist, but didn't know of one, so he dumped it on Joseph Smith.

You're not, though I wish you were.

And "dumping" it on BY is better / makes more sense?

Mike, he isn't fighting you. So for you to "battle him" would strictly be a fight of your own making. I'm not quick to condemn people who are trying their best and mess up along the way.

If he's wrong, so be it. If you think he's wrong, civilly discuss the matter with him and see what his response is.

What is beyond ridiculous is how you have characterized Millet as a person and the aspersions you have cast on his motivations.

Arch, I know you agree with me. It's one thing to say "It could be" or "It's my opinion."

It's quite another to state it as fact on the record, knowing it will be broadcast to a potential audience of millions.

The carelessness with the facts is absolutely breathtaking.

I'm going to ask him to apologize publicly and ask publicly, for BYUTV to remove that segment from the shows they televise.

Again, I'm keen to see the related correspondence from this crusade. Follow the worthy example of Goatnapper. Thanks in advance.

At best he was careless, at worst, he was malicious, but I'm not surprised as that is the nature of the beast with apologists.

Leonard Arrington, wherefore art thou?

Waters, what, pray tell, is the point of all this? To keep JS pristine from a charge of racism? We know he was a racist in exactly the same way BY, MEP, and the rest of them were, as well as an adulturer, a predator of underage girls, an arsonist, an enemy of free speech, a counterfeit translater of Egyptian antiquities.
