Most influential games for me:
Lode Runner Pitfall Mario Bros. Zelda (see avatar) Contra (up up down down left right left right a b select start) Oregon Trail That Olympics game that you needed the pad for (Nintendo) Monkey Island (where I learned what hemorrhoids are, funny game) Descent (first experience playing others over internet) Most hours: Civilization and Starcraft I think civilization was the most influential on shaping my interests in life, as well as my knowledge of history. It was also extremely helpful on my mission. It got me interested in city names so that I eventually learned almost all of the world's capitals. Having served in a very international city, when someone would tell me they were from Namibia, or Sierra Leone, I'd say, "Oh, from Windhoek?" or "Freetown?" and they'd think I used to live there and we were able to get a 1st discussion in. Chalk it up! |

Most influential game for me ever was Street Fighter II. I remember lining up my quarters at the 7-11 to play. I was at Costco last week and noticed they had an arcade version with several other classics. I used Ryu and worked through 4 characters before my wife dragged me away.
I never got into many other games. I like sports games and Halo. Tony Hawk Pro Skater II changed my life also. I scored over 1,500,000 points on the France Competition level which was a record in our apartment. I still kill that game.

Glass Joe had no real move, hence the name Don Flamenco would dance with the rose in his mouth and do the uppercut Bald Bull would step back and then charge at you Soda Popinski would keep spinning around and around in circles, no? Or is that the India guy? Mike Tyson would blink his right or left eye before throwing the corresponding jab. Also, his entire body would flash white for a split second before his uppercut. King Hippo dropped his pants as you punched him in the stomach, no? the turban guy had a little gold medallion on his turban that would flash right before he did his move, if i recall correctly. What are the other power moves?

I think you got all the others. I don't remember any specific power moves from Mr Sandman or Piston Honda. |
