"We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10: 3-5.)

Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is his revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah."

Having gained this testimony as explained here was what I needed to know to know that I wanted to associate myself with this organization.

So the will of the Lord is contingent on a changing world?

Interesting, your line of thinking....

Last question.....

Do you believe that the moon was inhabited by men who dressed like quakers?

Do you believe that no man will ever walk on the moon?

Do you believe dinosaurs essentially didn't exist?

All things prophets have said, ie, in your words, the will of the Lord, ie, the Lord said those things, not men.

Procedural things and policies can change with changing situations in the world. The Lord's will may be different at different times. I won't leave my baby home alone, that's my policy, but in 15 years I will. My ultimate goal and desire continue to be the same thing.

I would encourage you to read your scriptures, pray, and gain a testimony. And here's a fusism for you, "You just don't agree because you don't know as much as me."

I assume your silence to my questions means that you do believe there are moon men that dress like quakers.

I would assume that your silence to the question I asked sometime yesterday about D & C 1 means that you think the it's wrong. The Lord was just kidding or something.

I accept there are certain times when the Lord is explicitly speaking through his prophet, or his oracle here on the earth.

I do accept with that, that not everything a prophet says is what the Lord is dictating to him.

If such were the case, the church is full, and I mean full of fallacies, untruths, lies, deceptions, not consistent with the loving Jesus I know.

There's no asterisk in the scriptures with a footnote reading: "Sometimes when my prophet speaks as prophet he's speaking my mind..."

I didn't say there was, but not everytime a prophet speaks, he is speaking the direct will of the Lord.

If he was, again, please answer the questions, why the inconsistencies and mistruths, and fallacies? Why have the prophets erred multiple times? Why have things they said been changed shortly after?

Okay...I'm tired of the yes, no, yes, no, yes, no...this isn't a discussion any more. Clearly you're not going to change what you believe, and I won't either. So, I'll see in the next thread.
