Live and let live. Not everybody is going to agree with LDS people on everything. Gay marriage is here to stay and so is legal abortion. What's the big deal?
For tomorrow we will die anyway? Hmmm. Heard the warning about that mindset somewhere before. Have you?

Ignoring the cannibalistic overtones of that sentence, I'm curious if you take issue with the Church's permissive stance on abortion under limited circumstances. Those circumstances require a choice to be made by the woman with her husband and ecclesiastical leaders. Would you propose to take that choice away from them? I don't intend to argue this one way or the other.

I don't know how many pro-life Dems there are, but I do know there are a LOT of pro-choice Republicans, including some high-profile personalities that have led to somewhat of a muffling on the issue, especially when "they" are around.

This issue hasn't torn the GOP apart, so if you're LDS and want to vote your values regarding social programs, why not look at one of the blue-dog Dems? (I honestly don't know which of them may be pro-life, but they break with Dem leadership often.)

Diversity on abortion hasn't broken up the GOP, and the same would be fine among Democrats.

How many lives have been lost since Bush took office? Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Afghan lives have been lost during the Bush Administration. How do you feel about that?

IMO, part of what has led to LDS gravitating toward Republicans in the Democrat party's slow decent into radical liberalism, especially on social issues. Many members--even politically fair-minded ones--have a hard time squaring that with their religion.
Really? I don't think you have looked into this issue much, then. What year would you say the Dems began their "slow decent into radical liberalism?"

The church itself is pro-choice. Why is it bad for a member to be as well?

You're saying that because he church has stated that there are a few exceptions when abortion is ok that it is pro-choice?
