So in other words, those waiting for funeral tickets will be only 100 feet away from the protestors, having to listen to their drivel for hours.
My understanding is that anyone lining up Friday will be asked to go home until the next morning and that anyone in line before 9:00 AM will be denied tickets.

That should prevent the protesters from receiving their deserved beat down.

You know, I really loved Pres. Hinckley and I am sad to see him go, but I can't think of anything worth spending a night on the cold streets of SLC for. Especially not a funeral I can watch from the comfort of my own chapel.

Likewise, I can't imagine hating someone so much that I would picket the person's funeral. These guys are nuts so if they're against us, then we know we're doing something right.

I believe it is being broadcast live on BYU-TV so if you get that on your local cable channels, you can watch it from home.

Ha, I was thinking Danites too. We could use a few Porter Rockwells and Eph Hanks these days.

Doesn't it seem especially silly to picket the funeral of somebody you hate? What, are you boycotting their death? You wish they would have lived so you can hate them more? I don't get it.

Good question. I suspect not since there were no broadcast satellites back in Brigham Young's time.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
