Second coming
I worked with a guy who is about 45 years of age. He confided in me that his PB said he would be alive for the second coming, and he took it quite seriously.

btw, I have sent an email to my father to deliver to the author of the book. I'm curious as to his reaction.

Mine straddles the line between generic and specific. Some of each. It provides me guidance and direction in different ways and at different times.
I have also read a number of other PB and read one of the father of one of my old HS girlfriends that said he would be alive for the second coming. Presumably this meant something other than what it seems on its face because he is no longer living among us.

I thought mine was horrible actually. My sister and I got ours at the same time. After we got home my sister said something like "wow...sorry." I read through it once when it arrived, and then folded it up and stuck it somewhere where I wouldn't have to look at it again. I found it again when I was going through stuff to move to California. My PB is far from generic, and that's not necessarily a good thing.
As I've gotten a little older I've become a bit more open to reading through it periodically. Although apparently my life is not going to go as smoothly as I would have liked, at least according to the PB there is going to be a happy ending. I don't hate it anymore, now it seems more encouraging. It definitely took some time to be able to read it that way though. It's long. One full page front and back, never met the Patriarch before, but I don't think he just made it up out of thin air. If he did he must have taken an immediate dislike to me. |

Could be. As in all things of the spirit, some are better than others at it.

I wonder if they don't have preplanned stuff with which they bless us ordinary run of the mill folk with, and every once in a while are inspired directly for somebody special. Mine could have been given to any one of millions of male members.
