They are legion. Luckily the BYU head coach, and the second best HC from the "Cradle of Coaching" that is Utah County, is not a BYU grad.

All I can say is if we lose to Utah, I don't think we do, the first poster who posts, "I would rather lose with class than win without it", I will be all over like flies on crap.

I understand the concept of winning the championship is the most important thing and if we do that, I will be a happy camper even if we lose to the Utes. However, note the key word "winning".

This moral high ground stuff coming from BYU fans is a crock and in case anyone hasn't noticed it, it nauseates me.

As a fan, BYU sports and football provide entertainment when it can be viewed and when the quality is relatively good, i.e., they are working well together and winning. Does any fan wish for bad press? Of course not, but if a few RUTS occurs, I will not cry about it and the subjective element of class usually doesn't translate into more winning or more entertainment. Hence, if a coach is competitive and rubs the rival the wrong way now and then, it means he is winning. When he's losing, he's bumbling and pathetic. So winning matters most to fans.

One of my favorite quotes, "show me a good loser and I will show you a loser."

After the rash of injuries, I'm not sure I would say that. The team has a much better record that I thought they would at this point.
Of course, Kyle hasn't done as many firesides, which seems to be task #1 as a HC to some.

It is all about who gives a more exciting interview. Wins, championships be damned! Utenation wants a coach who can come through the microphone to rub their inner thigh!

Maybe that is why the Utes love Elaine Elliott.

If you are comparing the two coaches in regard to telling their respective fan base what it wants to hear and "rubbing its thigh" then Bronco gets the edge there. Not only does he rub the thighs...he also walks away with the money in their wallets for making them feel so good about what he is saying.
