When I read the article about Bob Delaney, Big 10 commissioner, on the subject of BCS and how he is against a playoff, I came away thinking he is one of the most arrogant, aggressive, power hungry men the world knows. This is the kind of guy that easily could become a Hitler if circumstances were right. I doubt he'll be satisfied with Mizzou. He'll go after the best school he can get. He's obsessed about maximizing revenue. I'd think he'd go east.

I wonder what would happen on CG and CB collectively if the Big 12 were to snatch CSU and the Pac-10 invited Utah and BSU.

Heh.

You don't need CSU and BSu to be snatched to really hurt BYU. All you really would need is Utah to move to a BCS conference and a big hurt would be put on the BYU program. The only survivial course I would see then is to go indedendent.

It isn't that Utah is so much better than CSU, BSU or TCU. It is that they are our main rival. Utah would automatically move to big kid on the block in Utah. BYU would be seen as second tier much like USU is looked at by BYU and Utah.

Missouri isn't mentioned in the article, nor is there any rational reason to include Missouri. It's not like St. Louis and Kansas City are big mizzou towns.

I would be very surprised if Missouri was selected.

I think Big 10 expansioin has zero effect on teams in the west. Unless you see BYU joining the Big East.

Yep, all the TV's are too the east. Delaney is too ambitious to expand just to add Mizzou. KC's Jayhawk territory anyway.

I was reading over on CB and what I think is logical would be the Big East kill move. Steal Rutgers and Syracuse/Louisville/Pittsburgh and he kills the Big East, taking over the entire Northeast.

There is no good reason to go independent unless Utah gets into a BCS conference and BYU doesn't. Right now you can keep the fan base happy by beating Utah in the same mid-level conf.

The Pac 10 would snatch BSU when hell freezes over. They turn their noses up at California schools with "state" in their name. They're not going to take a glorified community college from southern Idaho.

St Louis isnt a big Mizzou town? Isn't that like saying Dallas isnt a big U of Texas town?

Dallas isn't a big U. of Texas town. No more than Houston.

I think it affects the west as the pac-10 gets pressure because Big 10+2 will want 55% of rosebowl revenue to accomodate the additional team. Additionally, of the 5 big conferences everyone has 12 while the pac only has 10. The other conference either make the Pac-10 take less of a share of the bcs $ or Pac-10 puts 12 teams in their conference
