Do we have any Philopino GAs? Elder Oaks spent quite a bit of time out there?

He does have a very European appearance, c'est domage.
A Philopino GA spoke at last conference...looked Very young...was probably in his 40s.

There's always elder Kukuchi

I don't believe Kikuchi is the rising star he once was. Tokyo South did some strange things back in his day.

He looks awfully white, though.

Too bad Helvecio Martins died. He would have been an excellent choice for a variety of reasons.

I served in Japan and Elder Kikuchi visited us a lot. I don't know about him as an Apostle. (Arch makes reference to some problems.)

I'm starting to think we will probably see a Latin American Apostle soon.

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Yes, he would have been great.

Tokyo South is now gone (what has happened to the mission song, "The Tokyo South Mission is a field that's white today...") so maybe it's all swept under the rug.

I was in the mission just after the 1,000 baptisms a month period, but Kikuchi was not the president (though as stated before, we saw a lot of him in the mission so I'm sure he was there alot in the "Groberg jidai" as well).

Elder Walter F. Gonzalez presided over our Stake Conference this past weekend where he called a new presidency. Seems like a wonderful man. He is a convert from Uruguay and a member of the presidency of the seventy. Another good choice for Apostle. This would really be exciting.

This should release some endorphins in SoonerCoug's brain.
