Interesting questions that I'd never really considered before. I'm sure that some measure of genocide occurred, e.g. Saul's failure to kill all the animals/using them for sacrifice, etc. Of course, if I get to heaven and they tell me that the OT writers fudged things a bit, I guess I can live with that.

that's not uncommon. If you take NT from Stephen E. Robinson, you'll know that Matthew was definitely racist. A "particularist" is the term used by scholars.
