Sorry to hear that. It's a shitty disease that's for sure. The thing that sucks abot it the most IMO is the "no treatment, no cure". Even cancer has survivors. An ALS diagnoisis is a death sentence. Unless you want to go the Steven Hawking route. But that's harldy living IMO.

ALS is awful. I feel badly for anyone whose life it affects.
While there is no way to really treat it, I've often wondered how less we'd actually know about it had it not afflicted Lou Gehrig. I'm not saying that he was more important than anyone else that has had to deal with it, but it certainly helped awareness of it because of Gehrig being who he was - a high profile person who had his career cut short because of ALS.
