A lot of times its whites that like to put labels on people. Is Tiger Woods black? He doesnt consider himself black.
Good point about Obama. Hell, even Karl Malone was not very accepted by the black community.

Tiger is interesting in that he considers himself whatever is best for him in any given time. His mother being I believe Thai, is what got him into a tournament many years ago that was for Thais only. That said, he is a great golfer and that is how I personally view him, though he did tell me when I was one of those fishing on the Green River with him that he was happy that Jim Thorpe had already broken the color barrier before Tiger came along.

Man, you beat me to the punch. I don't know much about either Venkman or the Rock and their experience with black folks, but I can just say that my experience is quite opposite. As much as one's experience has any relevance in either proving or disproving a stereotype I have found it to be far from the truth.

1. Bill Clinton was the first black president.

2. Obama is not black enough.

I didn't say all or even most, but many. Not to say racism doesn't exist, but the victim mentality is very strong for many in the black community. I've been told this by a couple of black coworkers I used to work with. Some prominent blacks, like Bill Cosby, have expressed similar sentiments.

Oh, and kiss my ass.

It surprised me because I know very little about the man except that he is very popular. I don't know anything about his father or mother. I had just assumed that he was likely to be as popular among black democrats as he seems to be among white democrats. As Barbara pointed out, this appears to be happening.
