Just find pools of people you like to do things with, and eventually you'll find a gal who is compatible. Loosen up a bit.

And this might sound crazy, and I by no means am an expert, try meeting with a MFT to discover how to communicate feelings and emotions in order to relate with the girl of your choice. During the latter years of a failed marriage, I learned a lot about how people somewhat closed don't exactly connect with women, even if you might otherwise be compatible. Listening helps a lot.

This might be bad advice, but it helps me to understand what the women I find desirable want. The attraction has to be mutual, which goes without saying.

Increase the size of the pool, find people who meet what you like to do now and will probably like to do in the future, share some commonalities and eliminate preconceptions, and you'll find some great girl. They exist. If I can find a great, better than I deserve type of girl, you can too.
