The last Fiesta Bowl there were probably more BYU fans at the game than Ute fans.

Despite my uncharacteristically macho response to your prophecy on CB (I was hungry and feeling a bit surly at the time), I really don't think either team is going to the Fiesta Bowl or any other BCS confab this year. If nothing else, I'm hoping my pessimism serves as an effective karmic counterweight to all of the chicken-counting going on among my brethren.

Interesting: out of the six bowl projections from the major media, BYU is projected once in each of the four bowls, one analyst thinks East Carolina will get the nod instead, and one analyst (obviously an idiot) doesn't project any BCS buster this year.

Research reveals said analyst to have graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Go figure.

As with all pre-mature behavior, this is likely to end in great disappointment.

Go Cougars! Beat the Pokes!

Errr . . . . well, maybe.

This kind of hubris has doomed the Cougars before. Nemesis can be a bitch.

No they had it taken away from them when they were still 12-0.

Recommendation was to get on their website ticket waiting list before eom for a good shot at a decent seat. Worried that the CC will get all the good seats leaving only the high end zones for the unwashed. Call it risk management.
