Memento is one of my 5 favorite movies of all time. It was nominated for several Oscars.

I saw LA Confidential and wasn't impressed. Perhaps if I watched it again, I'd feel differently about it.

Haven't seen Memento. In fact, I'd never heard of it until it was mentioned on this site in another post some time ago.

You were one of those guys pulling for "Titanic" weren't you. Seriously, you should watch it again.

I had to take a knee after that shot. A standing 8 count, if you will.

On your recommendation I'll give it another look. But will you represent me when I sue you if I don't like it?

Here is one of my favorite scenes. To "get it" you have to know the plot, which I don't feel like explaining. Starts at 8:01 and goes till the end. "A hooker cut to look like Lana Turner is still a hooker."

One thing that surprised me is that the guy that played Lt. Ed Exley, Guy Pearce, looked to be a star in the making after that performance but I've never seen him since. It's been 10 years since LA confidential was made so I guess it isn't going to happen.

If for some strange reason you've never seen LA Confidential do yourself a favor, you've been missing out.
Read the novel. Or, better yet, the one by the same author (James Ellroy) called American Tabloid. Great reads.
