If they are at home, you can pretty much mark down a win.

If they are on the road, they will play poor basketball, their lack of ability and athleticism will be evident and unless the opponent plays equally bad (utes come to mind here), BYU will likely lose.

I can't take anything from a home game in terms of analyzing the performance.

I couldn't agree more with junkie...if Tavernari is shooting the ball well, BYU is a very good and dangerous basketball team that can compete with anybody in the country. If he isn't shooting it well, BYU is a mediocre MWC team.

I do think that Tavernari's shooting slump and Rose's benching him has caused him to take better shots. His shot selection has improved. I will be interested to see how things develop on this road trip now that he thinks he is back. I think a big key will be having a higher percentage of his shots be inside the 3 point line. He should be able to kill the Falcons with that 12-15 foot fadeaway. Shots within 15 feet and offensive rebounds should be a key to yet another Cougar Victory!

1. Plaisted- is becoming a dominant rebounder and help defender. It does help that he doesnt really have any one to guard or to body him up, but he is doing a good job of getting rebounds and keep them high on the defensive end. If he would learn to keep the ball high offensively he would eliminate his turnovers.

2. Loyd- the guy that sits next to me hates him and thinks he is a turnover machine, sounds like surfah feels the same way. Now I dont think he is a great finisher, but this is his first year playing the point, I think he will continue to get better, he is easily the quickest player on the team, he handles the ball well, and he pushes the tempo even more than Murdock. He is young so right now we have to live with the mistakes but he is going to be very good in the upcoming seasons.

3. Cummard- Is by far the best all-around player on this team and in the conference. Their is nothing he doesnt do well. He can defend, he can shoot, he can rebound, he can block shots. He is finally starting to live up to the hype he had in highschool. His length also gives people fits.

4. Miles- he tries hard.

5. JT- like I have been saying we go as JT goes. JT even pointed this out after the last game, he said that when he has a good game the team wins by 20, when he struggles they struggle.

I think why a lot of BYU fans think he is a turnover machine is because in the past when they have seen a BYU point guard go down the court that fast, he turns the ball over.

Last I heard that coaches are really happy with Lamont Morgans progress at point guard in practices and feel that he'll be an improvement over Murdock next year.

Then again,,,,most anyone would be.
