This is one subject and topic where you'd be wise to shut the hell up and just sit this one out.

I don't think he was saying anything offensive. He just seemed to believe that people were responding apathetically and wondered why. No reason to get fired up from his post.

How were any of the responses apathetic?

I'm dropping a hint that he'd be well advised to adhere.

The Salt Lake Tribune has four articles up, and unfortunately the anti's are having their fun leaving tasteless comments at the bottom of each page. What an utterly pathetic, soulless demographic.

One of the hazards of free speech is that hateful idiots are allowed to express their ideas. It's best to not pay attention.

Me too, at the Abeno Chapel. It was Christmas time, my first on my mission. He spoke words of comfort to us.
He was the only prophet my children knew. My teenage daughters teared up when they heard.

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

I would like to express my profound condolence for president Hinckley's departure .The first time i learned about prophet concept in mormonism ,i was very interested to see how a living prophet ( a man who could directly receive revelation from God) would actually look like. (since muslims believe the prophethood's case was closed 1400 yaers ago. )
The photos released of President Hinckley leaving hospital after a surgery was the first time i saw him . i could feel how people were both happy and concerned about his health condition and the church future leadership. his attendance in chile temple dedication/rededication was the next remarkable event i should mention about. I was really impressed by the spirit church injected to the people ,particulary young ones who would make huge effort to offer a warm welcome to him .when he started talking ,it sounds like he was collecting all his last energies to serve people who believe in church ..really touching. his great sense of humor in 2006 general conference ( if i recall correctly) made it hard to believe he would surrender to death any time soon. may almighty God reward him for his decent deeds .Enshaallah

Were you on your mission and at the Desoto Civic Center when he spoke there a few years ago? I lived in Utah for seven years and heard him speak in the Tabernacle, the Conference Center and the Marriott Center, but it just meant so much more to hear him all the way in Mississippi.
