Several stakes in the SoCal area had a stake conference broadcast from SLC a few weeks ago, where President Hinckley spoke on divorce. Whether it was a talk for the SoCal region or whether he is delivering it to all of his tele-conferences at the moment, I don't know. But he said that by and large, the majority of divorces within the church come from selfishness; like you said the "what is he doing for ME" approach.
