I have been carrying my umbrella to work for the past 2 days but we still havent had much more than a light drizzle down here in OC.

The news keeps saying that it is coming and it will be a downpour, but so far we have escaped unscathed.

SoCal needs moisture, but not torrential rainfall. All the exposed hillsides from the fires are going to convert into mudslides if too much rain hits us.

The weather has actually been great in Utah the past 2 days. After what seemed like 3 straight weeks of snow and temperatures in the high teens low 20s, the last two days it has been mid 40s and feels like mid 60s.

I dont think it has snowed this much this early in the 10 years I have lived in Utah.

December was the wettest we've had since 1983.

The storm these guys are getting now is supposed to hammer us with snow all weekend long.

I hate this weather.

I'm curious if you guys will get the winds we got. If so, you're in for a blizzard.

I heard peak gusts around Oakland were 100mph, how bad were they in "the Creek"?

I know we've already been getting some high winds....last night 3 people I know in the Sandy area had their fences blown over.

Yesterday afternoon, Snowbird had to close the upper runs because of 100+ mph winds.

Like Rocky, I heard about some fence trouble out in Sandy.

At my home, I realized too late that I didn't secure enough the cover on my swamp cooler, because when I went outside to clear the snow from my driveway this morning, it was gone.

In San Diego we had heavy winds during the night, and is steadily raining now. I ran errands this morning and there was a lot of bark and branches in the streets from the palm trees. And a dumpster diver yelled at me for splashing her; however I wasn't driving in the gutter, rather the street puddles were a good inch or two high.
