I'm torn, because I promised my ex when we got divorced that I wouldn't discourage my son from the Church thing, but I feel dishonest encouraging him to follow a path that he will eventually regret. I'm not sure what to do.

How do you know he will eventually regret it?

So you make a promise and are unwilling to keep it? You don't trust your son's ability to judge for himself. My son is much perceptive than I imagine. It sounds as if you are selling yourself and your son short.

Aside from the.."This talk is directed towards the young men,,,,the pornography talk, and the men suck and treat your wives and women better talks"...I'm actually looking forward to Priesthood this time.

The reason being is that for the first time ever all 5 brothers/sons will be attending with my Dad.

Call it cheesey or whatever, but I think that's pretty dang cool.

My brother is the USAF who is stationed at Ramstein in Germany flew in this week to drop his son off at the MTC, and it's been great to have him here. He showed me son unbelievable personal video he took of the protestors at the G-8 Summit.

Anyway, for the selfish reason of being with all of my family here this is pretty cool.
