Why do you give so much weight to what they did last time? I would think that passing them over once was awkward, doing it twice would be insulting (particularly for Packer).

It's entirely possible that Elder Packer would not be insulted, hurt, incensed, down-in-the-mouth or otherwise put out by not being called to fill President Faust's position.

I'm curious where this sense comes from that the next member of the First Presidency needs to be the next most senior member in the quorum?
